Tire Use Skills

Apr 02, 2020

1. Check the tires. If the scratches on the tire side or the depth of the groove on the tire surface have worn out (the depth is less than 2 mm), and the degree is too serious to repair, you need to replace the tire.

2. The tire size cannot be changed at will. You need to choose a tire that matches your own car.

3. Since the sealing performance of the tire and the wheel hub is very good, it is necessary to use professional equipment to separate the tire from the wheel hub; the tire should be rotated evenly to avoid violent disassembly and damage to the wheel hub.

4. Remove the tire completely from the wheel hub. After the tire is removed, check whether the wheel hub is injured. If the damaged wheel hub is installed with a tire, not only will the leak be leaked due to inadequate sealing, but it will also be broken and dangerous.

5. Yellow dots and red dots are specially designed on the tires, because when the wheel rotates, there is a center of gravity. The side with the yellow dot is lighter and the side with the red dot is heavier. Therefore, when installing, pay attention to aligning the yellow dot with the valve.

6. If the installation is strenuous, you can moisten the tire with clean water. After the new tire is installed, inflate enough to prepare for the subsequent balance.

7. The installed new tires must be dynamically balanced. During driving, if the position of the tire is unbalanced, it will cause the steering wheel to shake. The faster the speed, the greater the vibration; and unbalanced tires will also cause wear. The measurement of dynamic balance has a certain value. When rotating, the weight difference can be measured. According to the machine test, this tire has a difference of 15 grams on the left and 11 grams on the right.
